Why Resil Chemicals invested in business integration
Resil chemicals, one of the largest manufacturers of silicone-based products in Asia, was looking for a way to integrate its data across various manufacturing plants, sales offices, and branches to improve communication between remote locations. They also wanted to automate the shop floor to replace the time consuming and cumbersome paper-based system and generate the status of real-time processes.
Why Magic fit the bill
Resil Chemicals has over 100 manufacturing processes in its productions sites, including batch control processes, process control orders, production orders, inventory management, materials management and more. Resil wanted data from these operations to be continuously integrated with their SAP ERP, both online and offline, to enable remote access using tablets that run apps developed with Magic xpa Application Platform. Magic xpi was able to satisfy their integration needs quickly and reliably.
The implementation of Magic xpi with Magic xpa quickly enabled a paperless production environment on the shop floor. This has helped reduce costs and improve the safety in the production and manufacturing areas, which are critical for chemical manufacturing, and has resulted in increased productivity and automation.
The automated solution has eliminated manual processes in the production area, eliminating unnecessary errors, and making Resil Chemicals one of the first state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with this kind of automation.
