Why Finanz Informatik invested in Magic
With its over 3,000 employees, annual revenues of almost EUR 2 billion, and hundreds of clients, Finanz Informatik, the IT service provider of the German Savings Banks Finance Group (Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe) was looking for a way to improve its services, which range from application development and infrastructure and data center operations to consulting, training and support.
Finanz Informatik developed Service Request Plus (SRPlus), a web-based IT service management software, using the code-free Magic xpa Application Platform. Finanz Informatik then faced the challenge of synchronizing its existing commercial SAP ERP processes with SRPlus and selected Magic xpi’s centralized platform to do this.
Why Magic fit the bill
Using Magic xpi’s built-in SAP certified connector, Finanz Informatik was able to tightly integrate the SRPlus software into the IT infrastructures of Finanz Informatik, the Sparkassen organization and external partners.
The integrated SRPlus system is used throughout Finanz Informatik and the Sparkassen: at the workstations in the customer organizations, in the support of Finanz Informatik itself and with important network partners and key suppliers. The solution handles more than 45,000 contacts in the savings bank organisation. Approximately 25,000 of these are approved to use the system with more than 7,000 people working with the system over the course of a day.
